Hello, my name is Michael ward and I'm 23 years old. I'm from Portumna, County Galway. My first time to ever notice youth work was back when I was 13 years old and a youth cafe had opened its doors in my town. But in more recent years I have felt the true impact of youth work. I truly grasped it when I was 19 and I went on my first youth exchange that has changed the way I understood life. I worked with Youth Work Ireland Galway for almost two years and I have been involved in the Galway County Comhairle na NÓg, Youth democracy group (Get Lippy!), football coaching, organic gardening project and international youth exchanges as a leader and much more. I have also participated in short term and long term EVS. Short term was in Finland and the long term was in Georgia.
